Rural Municipality of Montcalm

Montcalm is where agriculture, trade, and transportation come together. Stretching north-south along the 75 Corridor, Montcalm offers businesses seamless connections to Canadian, U.S., and global markets. Combined with affordable development land and some of the most productive farmland in North America, Montcalm is well-positioned for growth in logistics, manufacturing, agri-business, dangerous goods handling, and value-added processing.

Our Story

Stretching along PTH 75 in the heart of Manitoba's Red River Valley, the Montcalm has built its economy around its three population centres: St. Joseph, Letellier, and St. Jean-Baptiste. These three communities have supported generations of producers, entrepreneurs, and businesses, creating a strong foundation for growth and investment. Today, Montcalm is leveraging its strategic location and transportation assets, including the Mid Canada Rail Park, to connect businesses with markets across Canada, the United States, and beyond. With productive farmland, available development land, and direct access to road and rail networks, Montcalm is where local strengths meet international opportunity.

Mid Canada Rail Park

The Mid Canada Rail Park is a 250-acre multi-modal business park designed to support the next generation of trade, logistics, manufacturing, and industrial investment. Positioned just 12 kilometres from the Emerson-Pembina border crossing and connected to both highway and rail networks, the site provides direct access to markets across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
The site is already home to the Mid Canada Transload facility, offering truck-to-rail and rail-to-truck services that help businesses move products more efficiently and cost-effectively. Existing infrastructure includes transload stations, grain handling facilities, warehousing, office space, and rail capacity for up to 100 rail cars.
The Mid Canada Rail Park is positioned to attract logistics and warehousing operations, agri-food processing, manufacturing, transportation services, cross-border distribution, bulk commodity handling, and value-added agricultural industries. With growing trade volumes along the Mid-Continent Trade Corridor and increasing demand for rail-served industrial sites, the Rail Park represents one of Manitoba's most significant industrial development opportunities.
